The Telangana government withdrew its orders allowing increase in ticket prices for Ram Charan’s latest film Game Changer. The much-awaited film released in theaters on January 10.

The Telangana government on January 10 reversed its decision to allow a hike in ticket prices for Ram Charan’s latest film, Game Changer. This step of the Government is in compliance with the direction of the Telangana High Court, wherein public interest, health, and safety concerns have been adequately addressed.

The order to withdraw the increase in ticket prices will be effective from January 16.

on 3rd January State government ordered to increase ticket prices Game changer as requested by the manufacturers. In his order, he allowed screening of six shows on January 10 at an additional cost of Rs 150 for multiplex theaters and Rs 100 including GST for single theaters on the opening day.

The government also approved screening of five shows per day from January 11 to 19, with an additional charge of Rs 100 for multiplex theaters and Rs 50 for single theatres.

However, on January 10, the High Court issued interim directions to review the decision to increase ticket prices by Rs 150 for multiplexes and Rs 100 for single theaters within 24 hours of receiving the order. Additionally, it ordered that early morning shows would not be allowed.

Game Changer is an important release for Ram Charan Because this is his first solo project after the global phenomenon RRR. For Shankar, the film comes after Indian 2, which failed to live up to expectations, adding further stakes to this pan-India venture.

The move to increase ticket prices was criticized by opposition BRS MLA T Harish Rao, who criticized the Congress government for allowing it.

Game Changer, also starring SJ Suryah, Nassar, Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore and Murali Sharma in lead roles. It has earned Rs 72.5 crore in just two days.
