Game Changer, Ram Charan starring, hit a big screen on January 10, 2025. Although the promotion was immense, the film failed badly at the box office and was banned by critics. Now, its editor has also slammed director Shankar and called a terrible experience with him.
In an interview with Kaumudi films, editor Shemer Muhammad said, “Working with Shankar sir was a terrible experience. He would fix a date for editing, but he will come after 10 days. The same continued for a few days, and I stayed in Chennai for 300–350 days.”
Later, Shemer opted to work on the film, as he had to pass 2-3 in film offers due to the pending work on the game changer and Shankar’s ancient work timeline. After his exit, the film was edited by Ruben.
Interestingly, Sherber Muhammad revealed that the Ram Charan starrer was originally in a length of 7.5 hours, and was the one that managed to trim it for 3 hours, after which Shankar came in and shorten it for 2.45 hours.
For unknown people, Shemer Muhammad is an editor and creator known for his actions in Malayalam cinema. Initiating his career as an editor in advertising films and album videos, the filmmaker made her debut in Malayalam Cinema with Duller Salman starrer Charlie.
Editor Ajayant Random is quite famous for her works in popular films like Random Moshanam (ARM), Marco, Rakhchithram, and more. He recently edited Tovino Thomas starrer Narivata, who are currently running in theaters.
Coming to the game changer, Ram Charan-conquered political action drama had the story of an honest IAS officer who tries to improve the political system. However, along with corrupt politicians in his way, man has to deal with them with strength and intelligence.
Dual roles as father and son, along with Ram Charan, included Kiara Advani, Anjali, SJ Surya, Jairam, Srikanth and many more in many other lead roles.
Moving forward, Ram Charan is currently involved in his film Peddi’s works with director Buchi Babu Sana, who was currently released on 27 March 2025.
