Malayalam-language sci-fi comedy film Gaganachari is making its online debut after a limited release on June 21, 2024. The film, directed by Arun Chandu, stars Gokul Suresh and Anarkali Marikar in the lead roles.
Now, the film has been quietly released on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video and will be streamed from October 26, 2024. This information was given by Arun Chandu through his Instagram handle.

The Malayalam-language science-fiction comedy film Gaganachari is made in a mockumentary format. The film is a dystopian story that takes place in Kerala in the year 2043 where people’s lives have changed drastically.
However, things take an interesting turn when three problematic bachelors move in with an extraterrestrial female fugitive alien in their apartment. The rest of the film tells what happens in their lives and what happens to the alien. The film also highlights the themes of love and superstition prevalent in the future, which is expected to be built on some brilliant dialogues and making-of.
Apart from Gokul and Anarkali, the film also stars Aju Varghese, actor and Kerala Minister of State KB Ganesh Kumar in lead roles.
The film was well received with positive responses and is set to expand into the cinematic universe. The makers had already announced that a feature film would be made on Maniyan Chittappan starring actor and Union Minister Suresh Gopi. The first look of the same was released by the makers which featured the actor as a mad scientist.

In an earlier interview with The Q, the film’s director had revealed that he had initially written the script for the film Maniyan Chittappan. However, the scale of the film required a larger budget and also required a star for the lead role, which is why they went ahead with Gaganachari as an experimental test project.
