Viola Davis channels his internal action hero in Amazon Prime’s latest action-thriller, G20! His character, President Daniel Sutton, faces a major national crisis when terrorists handle at the G20 summit. In this hour of need, Sutton attracted his military and rule experience to plot a takedown of the attackers and protect his family, country and the world.
The trailer showed Davis as President Sutton, who invites world leaders to the summit, where she is with her husband and daughter. However, when the intruders thrown a wrench in the global meeting, the leaders should call their strength to fight the real world fight.
Apart from Sutton’s professional conflicts, the film also examines her stressful relationship with her rebellious teenage daughter and how it develops after a life -changing event. Davis called it a “interesting challenge”, reflecting his experience of playing the role of President.
On the set, she often found herself saying, “I can’t do this – I am President.” It speaks for the immense pressure alone that comes with a state of power, especially for a woman who should balance as a mother, a wife and a human being with complex emotions.
Nevertheless, despite these personal conflicts, he should always remember his role as President – a situation that demands a certain level of creation and power, as Davis insisted.
