From Laughter Chef to Zee Horror Show, TV shows that will keep you entertained in 2025
In 2025, television will continue to promise diverse entertainment with a mix of family dramas, horror shows and celebrity cooking competitions on major Indian channels. As audiences want engaging content, channels like Colors, Zee, Sony and Star Plus are ready to deliver captivating stories and exciting experiences.

Be it 2024, 2025 or any other year, the need for entertainment remains constant for all of us. The minds behind various visual mediums—films, OTT platforms and TV channels—are already scratching their heads to bring the best content to audiences in the coming year. Here’s a look at what’s in store for those who continue to find happiness in being glued to their television screens.

The general entertainment channel already has four shows in January, each of which is quite different from the other. First up is Mannat Har Khushi Paanke Ki, which is a unique family drama set in the backdrop of the culinary industry. It stars Ayesha Singh, Adnan Khan and Mona Vasu in the lead roles and will premiere on January 6.
The finale of Bigg Boss 18 will keep the audience engaged on January 19. The weekend show will be replaced by the next season of fan-favorite Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment. Apart from OG Krishna Abhishek, Sudesh Lahiri and Rahul Vaidya, this time the show will also see Rubina Dilaik, Elvish Yadav, Abhishek Kumar, Samarth Jurel and Mannara Chopra as contestants.

The weekday slot will be taken by Meri Bhavya Life, a show that celebrates acceptance and self-love. It stars newbies Prisha Dhatwalia and Karan Vohra. And to add some supernatural thrill, the audience can go on a thrilling journey with Chetki. The show will air late night on Colors.

The channel’s next mythological drama is Rambhakt Tulsidas, which will tell about the life of Tulsidas and his love for Lord Ram. It stars Rati Pandey and Tarun Khanna in lead roles. To provide snack-bite entertainment to the viewers, the channel is also bringing Zee Mini Series, where short format shows will be aired. Some ZEE5 shows will also air under the same umbrella.

However, the biggest attraction is the return of The Zee Horror Show. Last month, the company’s streaming platform ZEE5 started airing scary episodes of the popular show. Taking a cue, the episodes will now air on the channel as well

Popular cooking-based show MasterChef India will be back on Sony TV but with a twist. This time the show will have popular celebrities as contestants who will compete to win the cooking title. Deepika Kakkar, Faisal Sheikh, Rajeev Adatiya, Tejasvi Prakash, Gaurav Khanna, Archana Gautam, Nikki Tamboli, Usha Nadkarni, Kabita Singh, Chandan Prabhakar and Abhijeet Sawant will be seen as contestants in Celebrity MasterChef. The show will be judged by Chef Vikas Khanna and Chef Ranveer Brar, while Farah Khan will host the show.
The channel is also bringing a horror show Aami Daakini, starring Sheen Das in the lead role of a chudail (witch). The show will be based on the background of a Bengali family.
Star Plus
The channel’s ‘Pocket Mein Aasmaan’ stars Abhika Malakar and Farman Haider in lead roles. The daily will talk about the journey of a young pregnant woman, who tries to balance her personal and professional life.
