South Indian stars including Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun, Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh Daggubati paid tribute to actor Dharmendra, who passed away at the age of 89.

Many prominent names from the South film industry including Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun, Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh Daggubati have expressed deep grief over the death of Bollywood icon Dharmendra. The actor beloved by many generations died on November 21 at the age of 89. His heartfelt tribute reflects the impact Dharmendra had on artists and audiences across the country that extended far beyond Hindi cinema.

Venkatesh Daggubati remembered the late star with great affection, writing, “Dharmendra ji was more than an icon. He exuded a warmth that touched generations and a dignity that defined an entire era of Indian cinema. His films, his spirit and his performances will live on in our hearts. May his soul rest in peace.”

Chiranjeevi Konidela described him as a wonderful human being, sharing, “Sri Dharamji was not only a great actor but also a wonderful human being. The humility and warmth I experienced whenever I met him touched my heart deeply. I will always cherish the happy memories and personal moments I shared with him. My heartfelt condolences on his demise. May his noble soul rest in eternal peace. My condolences and prayers to his family, especially my dear friends.” His legacy will remain alive in the hearts of people along with Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Crores. Om Shanti.

Junior NTR expressed his grief, saying, “Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Dharmendra ji. The era he defined can never be replaced and the warmth he brought to Indian cinema will always be with us. My heartfelt condolences and prayers to the entire family.”

Allu Arjun also honored the legendary actor, writing, “Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of the great actor #Dharmendra ji. A great man who touched millions of hearts. My heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and fans.”

Mahesh Babu remembered Dharmendra as a great presence, saying, “Cinema has lost one of its strongest voices today, rest your soul. Dharmendra Deol sir. The honesty and weight you brought to every character across generations and eras will always inspire us. Praying for strength and courage to his family during these difficult times.”

Mammootty also paid tribute, writing, “A true icon has left us. Dharam ji’s legacy will continue to inspire every generation. Heartfelt condolences and prayers.”

Mohanlal wrote, “Dharmendraji’s demise marks the end of a cinematic era. A legend whose warmth and artistry will live forever. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Om Shanti.”

Dharmendra, who has dropped extraordinary work for over six decades, was last seen in the 2024 film ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
