1. Where were the others’ strength
The famous pair of Ajay Devgn and Tabu will be seen once again on the silver screen in the romantic thriller film Auryon Mein Kahaan Dum Tha on July 5. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film also stars Jimmy Shergill, Sai Manjrekar and Shantanu Maheshwari in pivotal roles.
2. The Freak
A remake of the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, Sarfira stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role, along with Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film will hit the theatres on July 12.
3. In a playful way
Akshay Kumar has brought another gift for his fans, the film ‘Khel Khel Mein’ which is going to release on Independence Day. This comedy drama is directed by Mudassar Aziz and stars Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Amy Virk, Pragya Jaiswal and Aditya Seal.
4. The Vedas
Director Nikhil Advani’s action drama Veda will also hit the theatres on August 15. Starring John Abraham, Sharvari Wagh and Tamannaah Bhatia, the film is inspired by true events.
5. Stree 2
There will be a three-way clash on Independence Day as Stree 2 is also releasing on the same holiday. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao will be back in this much-awaited horror comedy by Amar Kaushik and promises wholesome entertainment.
6. Sky Force
Akshay Kumar is coming up with the action thriller film Sky Force on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapoor and Sandeep Kewlani, the film will tell the story of India’s first and deadliest airstrike.
7. Jigra
The talented Alia Bhatt will be seen in the action genre in the film Jigra directed by Vasan Bala. This jail break thriller based on a brother-sister relationship is Alia’s first film with Vedang Raina. Jigra is set to release on October 11 on the occasion of the festival of Dussehra.
8. Deva
Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde’s action film Deva is also going to be released on Dussehra. This film is being directed by Roshan Andrews.
9. Singham Again
Another release date is Diwali festival. Rohit Shetty’s grand installment of the police universe, Singham Again, is set to release on the festival of Diwali. It stars a stellar cast including Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh.
10. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3
Another franchise film releasing on Diwali is Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film will see Kartik Aaryan playing the role of Rooh Baba alongside actresses Tripti Dimri, Vidya Balan and reportedly, Madhuri Dixit.
11. Chhava
Vicky Kaushal is playing the lead role in the period drama film ‘Chhava’ based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film also stars Vicky along with Rashmika Mandanna. The film will be released in theatres on December 6.
12. Welcome to the Jungle
The third instalment of the comic Welcome franchise is here to add to the festive cheer this Christmas. Starring Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Paresh Rawal, Lara Dutta, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh and more, Welcome to the Jungle will release on December 20.
13. Stars on the Ground
Aamir Khan has teamed up with RS Prasanna to produce the social drama film Sitare Zameen Par. Genelia Deshmukh will be seen in the lead role. This film is also expected to release on the Christmas weekend, which will lead to another tough competition at the box office.
Pashmina Roshan, Rohit Saraf, Jibran Khan, Naila Grewal’s Ishq Vishq Rebound is the next film to release in June. Apart from the films mentioned above, Lakshya’s Kill, Janhvi Kapoor’s Uljhan, Vicky Kaushal and Tripati Dimri’s Bad Newz, Vikrant Massey and Raashi Khanna’s The Sabarmati Report are set to entertain the audience this year.
Vicky Kaushal’s Woh Wali Video starring Rajkummar Rao and Tripti Dimri, Ajay Devgn and Vaani Kapoor’s Raid 2, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri’s Dhadak 2, Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur’s Metro in Dino, as well as Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh and Vamika Gabbi’s Baby John will also be releasing in the upcoming months of 2024.
