Matt LeBlanc, best known for playing Joey Tribbiani on the popular sitcom Friends, has caused a wave of concern among his co-stars over his recent look. While the actor tries to keep a low profile on social media and in public, the Man With a Plan actor was recently spotted car shopping with his daughter, where he appeared quite tired and disheveled.
LeBlanc last appeared on screen with his Friends cast in the show’s reunion episode, and his last post on his social media account was a tribute to the late actor and his friend Matthew Perry.
Sources close to the Hollywood star spoke to InTouch Weekly where they revealed that the Joey actor used to be cheerful and would make others laugh by cracking jokes but lately he has not been the same person.
“He used to be such a happy, cheerful guy but now it’s like he’s not worth being around,” the insider told the outlet.

Another source claimed to the media portal that the actor’s Friends costars have reached out to their colleague to offer their support to LeBlanc. “No one is body-shaming Matt or accusing him of any unhealthy habits,” an insider further revealed in the conversation.
He added, “The worry for Jennifer Aniston and the rest of the Friends team is that he has become very isolated, and they hear very little from him.”
Meanwhile, Matt LeBlanc met his co-stars from the sitcom at the funeral of Perry, who died of a ketamine overdose and was found unconscious in his bathtub, in November 2023. The actor was joined by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer and Lisa Kudrow.
Talking about the Top Gear actor’s social circle, a source close to the actor shared, “He has been in touch since the tragic passing of Matthew Perry, but other than that, he just keeps to his work and has no real interest in socialising.” They further added, “It’s very sad for everyone to see.”
Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc shared a strong bond of friendship onscreen as well as offscreen. After the former’s death, the actor shared some glimpses of the two together from the show and wrote an emotional caption.
Matt LeBlanc appeared on Friends for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004.
