Paneer Yakhni recipe | How to make Paneer Yakhni at home
Making yakhni paneer at home is very easy. This recipe has been shared on Instagram by digital content creator @thespicystory. To make it:
1. Dry Roasted Spices
First, dry roast coriander, cumin, fennel, black pepper, red chilli, black cardamom, green cardamom, cinnamon and cloves. When it is cooked, grind it finely. Keep it aside.
2. Make the gravy base
Add cashews, paneer pieces, poppy seeds and water in a blender jar and make a fine paste. Heat some oil in a pan and fry the paneer pieces. Then add chopped capsicum to the pan and cook till it becomes a little soft. Remove the ingredients from the flame and keep aside.
3. Cook spices and nuts
Add oil in the same pan and let it heat up. When the oil is hot, add bay leaves, chopped ginger, green chilies and fry for a minute. Add cashew paneer paste and the rest of the ingredients in the same pan. When it starts boiling, add one cup of beaten curd to the pan. Mix the ingredients well and let it boil.
4. Seasonings and Garnishes
Add salt, sugar and saffron water to the gravy and cook till everything becomes nice and thick. Then add cooked paneer and capsicum to the pan and mix well. Add freshly ground masala on top and mix well. Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves and serve the yakhni paneer gravy. Serve hot!
