Flipkart is getting ready to launch one of its first major sale events of the year, with the Republic Day Sale 2026 officially scheduled for the third week of January. The e-commerce platform has confirmed the sale timeline and has already gone live with a dedicated teaser page giving early hints about what kind of deals shoppers can expect across multiple product categories. As seen every year, Republic Day sales are billed as a big-ticket event, especially for buyers planning to upgrade their smartphones or buy discounted electronics.

According to the microsite, Flipkart Republic Day Sale 2026 will start from January 17. However, customers enrolled in Flipkart Plus and Flipkart Black membership will be able to access the deals a day earlier, starting on January 16. The timing also coincides with India’s 77th Republic Day celebrations on January 26, which traditionally sees aggressive pricing on online platforms.

Smartphones are expected to be one of the biggest attractions at the sale, with Apple’s iPhones once again attracting attention. Flipkart has not officially confirmed the models that will be discounted, but based on past sales trends, older iPhone generations are usually included. Buyers can expect offers on models like the iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15 series, and even the iPhone 16 lineup. It is not clear at the moment whether there will be any price cut for the new iPhone 17 series. Along with Apple devices, Android phones from Samsung, iQOO, Poco and other brands are also expected to feature prominently in the sale.

In addition to smartphones, the sale is likely to include a wide range of electronics and appliances. Flipkart has indicated deals across categories like laptops, tablets, Bluetooth speakers, TWS earbuds, refrigerators, and washing machines. To make the discounts more attractive, Flipkart will also offer several bank offers during the Republic Day Sale 2026. HDFC Bank credit card users will be eligible for 10 percent instant discount along with easy EMI options. Additionally, up to 15 percent instant discount is expected on select debit and credit cards from other banks. Flipkart Black members will receive additional benefits, continuing the platform’s focus on growing its premium subscription tier.

Like previous sale events, Flipkart plans to introduce time-based deal formats to create urgency among buyers. These include rush hour deals, TikTok deals, jackpot deals and steal deals, all of which usually offer deeper discounts for shorter periods. Such offers often become a focal point of sales, especially for high-demand products like smartphones and large appliances.

The upcoming Republic Day sale comes on the heels of Flipkart’s Buy 2025 sale, which took place in December. The event ran for six days and featured discounts on smartphones, laptops, audio products and smart home devices from brands like Samsung, Apple, Oppo, Vivo, Poco, Acer and Mivi. The same benefits including bank discounts, cashback offers and early access for Plus and Black members were also part of that sale.
