Flipkart has launched a new premium subscription program, “Flipkart Black” in India. The program will host allowances to users, including third-party services.

Flipkart Black users will get a one-year membership of YouTube premium for free, with benefits including ad-free streaming and YouTube music.

Members of the program will also get special proposals, known as ‘Flipkart Black Deal’. According to the company, such deals will be available on gadgets and premium equipment.

Flipkart Black also includes RE1 cancellation and revival benefits on the travel booking done on Cleartrip and Flipkart.

Additionally, users will receive 5 percent superconcin cashback (up to Rs 100 on a purchase) on each transaction, as well as with early access to major sales. 15 percent instant bank offers will also be available for this initial access.

Members will get priority when it comes to customer aid. The e-commerce giant claims that the customers will receive a sequential offer based on their lifestyle. This will allow users to cure their own proposals for entertainment and lifestyle.

However, Flipkart has not given much information about these personal allowances.

Flipkart Vice President Rahat Patel said in a press release, “Flipkart Black is designed to strengthen these customers properly – actually putting them as in charge of their digital experiences and awards. The first set of profit is mainly focused on shopping, entertainment and travel. We will continue to expand it and solve it for our customers.”

Users can subscribe to Flipkart Black for an annual fee of Rs 1,499. However, the company is offering an initial bird discount, the price by the end of this month is dropping up to Rs 990.

Flipkart Black Flipkart will replace VIP. Flipkart VIP was a premium membership service costing Rs 799 per year. Unlike Flipkart Black, this service did not provide special offer or access to YouTube premium.

Flipkart Black vs. Flipkart Plus: What is the difference?

While the e-commerce giant has changed its premium subscription, its free loyalty program, Flipkart Plus remains in place.

Users join the loyalty program by purchasing at least four within a period of only 365 days. On the other hand, Flipkart Black is a payment subscription.

Plus members will continue to achieve allowances such as additional superconcin cashback. However, Flipkart adds black benefits that are beyond the e-commerce platform.

Flipkart is expected to achieve a strong membership for its premium service by providing such allowances.
