On Wednesday, five people were killed and five others were injured in an immediate explosive equipment (IED) explosion in Khuzdar district of a comfortable Balochistan province of Pakistan.
Nal Police Station House Officer (SHO) Bahawal Khan Pindrani said that there was an explosion after the IED after the motorcycle by a remote device.
“The explosion occurred in the Nal Market and the injured were rushed to the hospital,” he said.
District Health Officer Rafiq Sasoli said that two of the injured were serious and they found five bodies in the morgue.
Khan said that the bomb settlement squads were present on the spot and were inspecting the site.
Javed Zeri, Senior Superintendent of Police of Khuzdar, told a television channel that the explosion took place near a college in the vicinity of the market and vehicles were also burnt.
He said that the timely action of the security forces stopped another terrorist attack in the west region of Balochistan.
He said, “Working on intelligence, four terrorists were arrested in a pishn as they were planning a terrorist attack on Wednesday,” he said.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaz Bugti strongly condemned the explosion in a statement, saying that orders were issued to provide the injured with the best medical care.
Bugti was told, “Terrorism will be erased in all its forms.” “The hostile elements for peace will fail in their nefarious objectives and the people involved in this incident will be brought to justice.” Balochistan has been breaking violence for more than two decades.
