OnePlus China President Li Jie has officially teased the upcoming OnePlus Ace 5 in real-life images on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. For those unaware, it was last month when OnePlus revealed that its Ace 5 series smartphones would launch in China this December. Additionally, the device will arrive in global markets like India as the OnePlus 13R, as is the case with every Ace series. Although we don’t know the exact India launch date of the OnePlus 13R, it is expected to arrive alongside the OnePlus 13 in January.

The front profile of the phone can be seen by looking at the pictures of OnePlus Ace 5 shared by Zee. The images reveal that the device sports a flat display with fairly thin bezels, giving it a clean and sleek look. Although no details were shared about the technical specifications of the display, it seems that the phone may have a metal frame, something that was also on the OnePlus Ace 3 aka OnePlus 12R. However, the back of the device was not shown, so its design remains a mystery. There is speculation that OnePlus may introduce a version of the phone with a ceramic back, but we’ll have to wait for further updates to know for sure.
Talking about the OnePlus Ace 5, the device is expected to feature a 6.78-inch BOE X2 8T LTPO display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, which will make it great for watching videos, playing games, and scrolling. Apps. On the inside, the Ace 5 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Although this is already a high-performance processor, OnePlus has reportedly tuned it to perform like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.5, promising top-notch gaming performance with better power efficiency and heat management. This optimization is expected to bring the Ace 5 closer to the performance of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Additionally, the phone is said to come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It is also likely to have a larger 6,000mAh battery, which should provide solid battery life. As for charging, the Ace 5 is expected to support 100W fast charging, just like the OnePlus 12R.
When it comes to cameras, the OnePlus Ace 5 is rumored to have three cameras on the back. The main camera may be a 50-megapixel sensor with OIS, paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens for capturing close-up shots. On the front, the Ace 5 is expected to have a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Additional features may include ColorOS 15 based on Android 15, an IR blaster, and an alert slider.
Additionally, it’s not just the OnePlus Ace 5 that is expected to break cover soon. Recently, it was reported that OnePlus is working on a Mini version that could come with the Ace 5. Only time will tell whether this mini version of the phone comes to India or not. Recently Vivo also introduced X200 Mini in its X200 series. And, when the phone launched in China, the Indian market only got the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro. Apart from this, OnePlus is also expected to introduce Ace 5 Pro. This variant is rumored to have a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which is even more powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The Pro model is also expected to have an advanced camera system including a 2x telephoto lens for better zoom capabilities.
