Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed fans can rejoice! The wait is finally over as the release date of their much-awaited series ‘Barzakh’ has been revealed. It will release on Zee5 and Zindagi YouTube on July 19.

The news comes alongside the unveiling of the show’s first poster. The artistic image has an ethereal, dreamlike quality, hinting at the series’ exploration of complex themes.

Produced by Zindagi Originals, ‘Barzakh’ is described as a family drama with a unique twist. The story delves into the complexities of intergenerational trauma between fathers and sons set against a fantasy backdrop. Supernatural elements and otherworldly events are woven into the narrative, promising an engaging and thought-provoking viewing experience.

Fawad Khan plays a single parent who is possibly struggling with his past and looking for redemption. Sanam Saeed plays a central female character whose connection to Khan’s character is still to be seen. The series has a talented team behind the scenes, including Asim Abbasi, director of the acclaimed film ‘Cake’.

‘Barzakh’ has already received international recognition, having been selected for the prestigious Series Mania Festival in Lille, France. The series will compete in the International Panorama section of the festival, competing for awards in various categories.
