‘Dil Chahta Hai’ celebrated its 23rd anniversary on August 10. To celebrate the occasion, Farhan Akhtar shared a collection of iconic scenes from the film.
Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ completed 23 years of its release on August 10. On this occasion, Farhan Akhtar shared an emotional post on Instagram.
Sharing a montage on Instagram, Farhan wrote, “To a friendship of a lifetime. To the cast, crew and audience, your love has kept #DilChahtaHai alive for 23 years. #23YearsOfDilChahtaHai (sic).”

‘Dil Chahta Hai’ is the story of three friends who navigate the path of love and life after college. Set in Mumbai, Goa and Sydney, the film redefined Indian cinema with its fresh perspective on relationships and famous music and left a mark on the audience. It was Farhan Akhtar’s first film as a director.
The film stars Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni and Dimple Kapadia in important roles.
