Vijay Deverakonda is undoubtedly one of the most celebrated actors in the Telugu industry. The actor recently worked in Parashuram Petla’s comedy-drama Family Star alongside Hi Nanna and Sita Ramam sensation star Mrinal, which released in theaters on April 5, 2024. The film received mixed responses from movie lovers and critics for its dull plot.
Meanwhile, the film made its OTT debut on Prime Video on April 26, but many were disappointed as the film was not available for Hindi audiences. Now, in a recent update, the Family star is all set to stream in the Hindi language.
Family Star will stream on JioCinema
Vijay Deverakonda’s The Family Star will stream on Jio Cinema from June 28 in Hindi with English subtitles. The official streaming platform shared a picture of Vijay from the film on its social media platform Instagram and wrote, “The star you didn’t know about! The Family Star will be streaming from June 28, exclusively on Jio Premium. #TheFamilyStarOnJioCinema.”
Soon after the post came online, fans took to the comments section and expressed their excitement for the Hindi release.
“Waiting for the Hindi dubbed version of Mrunal Thakur and Vijay Deverakonda starrer family entertainer The Family Star,” wrote a user.
Another wrote, “Finally I will be able to watch it in Hindi.”

Family Star is Vijay Deverakonda’s second project with director Parashuram Petla, after the success of the 2018 comedy-drama blockbuster Geetha Govindam, which starred Rashmika Mandanna as Vijay’s love interest.
Due to its repetitive portions and lack of plot, Vijay Deverakonda’s Family Star did not receive positive reviews from the audience.
Apart from Vijay, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Divyansha Kaushik, Rohini Hattangadi, Ajay Ghosh and others in pivotal roles.
The family film was written and directed by Parasuram Petla and produced by Dil Raju under SVC label. The wonderful soundtrack for the family star was composed by Gopi Sundar.
