Neelam Kothari is a famous Bollywood actress who entered showbiz at the age of 16. After ruling the roost from the 80s to the early 2000s, she returned to entertain the audience with the reality TV series Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. During an interview, she recalled sharing the screen with Aamir Khan in the 1991 romantic drama film Afsana Pyar Ka. He said that Mr. Perfectionist was very particular about his scenes and performances.
During a candid chat with Radio Nasha, actor Neelam Kothari went back in time and remembered what it was like working with Aamir Khan in the 90s. The Hum Saath Saath Hain fame said that it was wonderful to work with the PK actor. He further added, “He was very particular about his scenes and performances. He’d say, ‘Let’s do another shot’ because she’s so special,” she said, adding that at that time there was sweetness in the simplicity. He also recalled shooting the peppy number Tip Tip with Khan in just three days.
In the same interview, he also shared his experience of working with superstar Rajesh Khanna in the 1989 drama Ghar Ka Chirag. According to Neelam, Khanna was very quiet and shy on the set. “He was extremely helpful because for me, Ghar Ka Chirag was a mature character,” the actress said. He said that when an actor is working with a veteran and amazing actor like him, his reactions automatically come out beautifully.
After sharing screen space with Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey and Seema Kiran Sajdeh in two seasons of the TV show, she was also offered a small role in Masaba Gupta and Neena Gupta’s Netflix series Masaba Masaba. Soon after, he was seen in a segment of Made in Heaven.
For the unaware, the third season of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives was recently launched, which was renamed as Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. Apart from the four popular Bollywood wives, it also stars Ranbir Kapoor’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, art collector Shalini Pasi and entrepreneur and close friend of many Bollywood stars Kalyani Saha Chawla.
