Exclusive: Vikas Bahl and Kangana Ranaut to reunite in Queen 2; “We have something concrete,” the director confirmed.

Over the years, Vikas Bahl has made some memorable films like Chillar Party, Queen, Super 30 and Shaitan. While the films are being liked by the audience, there is also talk about the possibility of taking Queen, starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role, as a franchise. And now, at Pinkvilla Masterclass, Vikas Bahl exclusively confirmed that Queen 2 is happening.

Talking about his future films, Vikas Bahal Said, “We’ve been working on Queen 2 for some time now and we finally have something solid.” The filmmaker kept details about Queen 2 under wraps but confirmed that the film is definitely being made. Meanwhile, Vikas is currently shooting for a comic film titled Dil Ka Darwaza Khol Na Darling in Goa. This quirky entertainer is set against the backdrop of a middle-class family in Goa and stars Jaya Bachchan, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead roles.

Vikas shared, “It’s a great cast – we have Siddhant Chaturvedi, Vamika Gabbi and Jaya Bachchan, who are doing something they haven’t done for years. We are really enjoying the process of making it. Almost 80 percent of the film has been locked. It’s a crazy romantic comedy.” The filmmaker also revealed that Shaitan 2 is also planned. “It needs to get made, but I get too distracted by all the new stories that come to me. Like right now, I’m jealous of not getting into the mindset of creating a universe. Apart from this, I also have an action thriller. I want to discover a new world,” he said.

Talking about Queen, the 2013 film is considered a game changer and brought female-oriented slice-of-life cinema to the mainstream world. The film is considered to be one of Kangana’s best films in the last few years, and the news of a sequel will definitely add more excitement.
