Aamir Khan, also known as Mr. Perfectionist, is loved for his meaningful films and thoughtful insight. Recently, after the release of his much awaited film Sitare Zameen Par with Himesh Mankad in Pinkvilla interview, he shared his views that how cinema has become less cheap for many people, making it difficult for everyone to enjoy films in theaters.
Aamir Khan talked about how the consumption of cinema has changed
While reflecting his early days, Aamir Khan said how the cinema has changed. “I think we have changed since our cinema and even cinema watched and exhibition. When I came, there were only one screen, and there were four shows a day. Then, multiplexes started coming. Today, more multiplexes and less single screens are there, so most of our is in multiplexes,” he said.
Subsequently, the single-screen theater was inexpensive, enjoying all the films. But now, large city malls like multiplexes, often Mumbai or Delhi have high costs. “The cinemas fare is so high and the infrastructure manufactured in multiplexes, obviously the ticket price increases again,” Khan said. This ticket makes very expensive for many.

Aamir Khan shared that cinema is no longer a public medium that it used to do
Aamir Khan told that cinema used to be for everyone. “This medium was called a mass medium at a time, and there was a reason that it was a mass medium. It is because the public can really risk watching the film. I think it is very difficult for the audience to watch a film in theaters on a large scale today until you go on the single screen,” he said. High prices have made it difficult for regular people to enjoy films, especially since single screens are rare. “I am not criticizing it. I am not taking a decision on it. But I am saying that there is a big difference,” he clarified.
Aamir Khan shared solutions to deal with the problem of power
When asked about the solution, the Ghazini actor suggested to build a cheap theater. “I think I am a creative person. I remember that you know when we see that China has 90,000 screens and the United States has 35,000 screens. India is such a big country and our population is so big. Why can we not serve in every field? If I can do this through cinema, I think there is not a big difference in the districts.

But when asked if he would start his own theater series, he was clear: “I do not want to go into theaters of theaters because then I will not be able to divide my time. I like to stay on the creative side, but it is definitely something that I am doing. I am doing. There are many people who are in the business of cinema, so I am helping them, to encourage them.”
