Kunal Khemu’s first film as a director, Madgaon Express, has been a topic of discussion since its release. This comedy film stars many star actors like Divyendu, Pratik Gandhi and Avinash Tiwari in lead roles. Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani have co-produced Kunal’s film under the banner of Excel Entertainment.

Will Madgaon Express move on to its next edition?
During an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, producer Ritesh Sidhwani revealed about the sequel of Madgaon Express.
The host remembered that the film ends with the promise of a sequel and asked if the team was planning a follow-up.
In response to this, producer Ritesh gave a big hint and said that this is actually happening.
“The right person to answer this is Kunal (Khemu). But if you ask him, he will say yes. Will this be his next film? I don’t think so, because as a filmmaker it is up to him what he wants to do next,” he said.
Ritesh Sidhwani reveals no changes have been made to the script written by actor-director Kunal Kemmu for Madgaon Express.
“But when he came to us with that script, it was exactly as he had written it. It is exactly as you see on screen. I think he had the conviction and trust that I would do it and I think it’s great to see the love and appreciation that the film is getting,” the Madgaon Express co-producer added.
Recalling the words of film distributor Anil Thadani, producer Ritesh Sidhwani said that he realised the film was running in theatres as well as streaming on Amazon Prime.
Thadani quoted Sidhwani as saying that this has happened “after so many years”. “So I think that defines the success of the film. So we would definitely like to do that,” the producer concluded.
