Rohit Shetty is coming with his next comic film Golmaal 5. There were speculations that the filmmaker has chosen Akshay Kumar along with Ajay Devgan to lead the show. Speaking to Pinkvilla, Arshad confirmed that he is working with Kumar on his next film, which could possibly be Golmaal 5. In the interview, Warsi also gave an update about Asur season 3. read ahead!
Will Arshad Warsi work with Akshay Kumar in Golmaal 5?
Several reports suggested that Rohit Shetty might have pulled off a major casting coup by bringing in Ajay Devgan and Akshay Kumar in Golmaal 5. However, there was no confirmation from the makers or the rest of the cast of the upcoming comedy film. But while speaking to us, Arshad Warsi hinted at his next collaboration with Kumar, which could be Shetty’s comedic take.
Praising Akshay Kumar in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Warsi revealed that he is going to work with the Sky Force actor after his film Welcome to the Jungle. Since Arshad is next excited to start work on Golmaal 5, his revelation points towards Akshay’s presence in the film.

Arshad shared, “We are doing another film together. Work will start now. It is a very fun film. Let’s see. It will be announced now.” Earlier, Variety India had reported that Akshay will be seen playing the main antagonist in the film opposite Ajay Devgan. Apart from Akki, Ajay and Arshad, actors like Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari and Ashwini Kalsekar will also be seen in Golmaal 5.
Arshad Warsi on Asur Season 5
In the same interview, the Bustle actor revealed about the plans for Asur Season 3. Arshad said that since the series requires extensive research, the writers are taking time to perfect it. Having said that, they are working on it and have written the third season. “It’s very interesting. They are working out the dates now, and hopefully we will start shooting soon,” revealed the actor, who plays Dhananjay Rajput (DJ) in the psychological crime thriller TV series.
