Veteran actress Farida Jalal, who is known for her roles in Aradhana, Bobby, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, recently returned to the mainstream with ‘Heeramandi’. In a candid and rare interview with India Today’s Bhavana Aggarwal, Farida Jalal spoke about her journey and playing supporting character roles. She recalled how she was cast as an actor but got a chance to showcase her versatility in projects by Satyajit Ray, Raj Kapoor and Shyam Benegal. She also praised her bond with YRF and Yash Chopra and explained why she was hurt by them. Farida, who was last seen in Dharma Films’ ‘Student of the Year’, is also upset with Karan Johar.
