Ex-wife Sussanne Khan’s father wrote a note on Hrithik Roshan’s 52nd birthday
On Hrithik Roshan’s 52nd birthday, his former father-in-law Sanjay Khan penned an emotional note remembering their early bond, family memories and the dignity with which Hrithik and Sussanne handled their separation.

Hrithik Roshan’s birthday celebrations this year came with a very personal and emotional note from someone who has known him long before he became a superstar. In form of Actor turns 52 On January 10, her former father-in-law, veteran actor-filmmaker Sanjay Khan, shared a heartfelt birthday message with lovely pictures, reflecting their bond, family ties and mutual respect over the years, which has grown stronger with time.
Sanjay Khan started his note by remembering his first conversation with Hrithik when Hrithik was a teenager. “I first met Hrithik Roshan as a teenager, I was introduced to him through Zayed. At that time, I needed a new bicycle for my morning ride and I told Zayed about it. Smiling, he replied, ‘Hrithik is your guy for advice on this.'”
She remembered how Hrithik had personally come forward to help her, impressed by her knowledge and honesty even at a young age. “True to his word, Hrithik visited one morning, and gave details about the latest models such as the trendy three-speed gear system. His explanations were crystal clear, precise, and delivered with a cool, honest confidence that impressed me. Little did I know that this young man would one day marry my daughter Suzanne and join our family.”
Opening up about Hrithik and Sussanne Khan’s separation, Sanjay emphasized the dignity with which it was handled and the love that holds the family together. “My joys come from Sussanne, grandchildren Rehaan and Hridhaan—beautiful, wonderful boys who have grown up with her characteristic loyalty. Their separation was beautiful, never bitter. I proudly joke with friends that she has gifted Hrithik ‘two aces of spades’.”

Sanjay Khan also praised Hrithik’s growth as an actor and a human being and described him as one of the best people in Bollywood. “Today, Hrithik is one of Bollywood’s finest actors, stars and eternal students of his art. On January 10, when millions celebrate, I wish Hrithik a very happy birthday filled with health, peace, happiness and prosperity. Happy Birthday, Hrithik. I love you, son,” he wrote.
The affection clearly goes both ways. Earlier this month, Hrithik had shared a heartfelt birthday note for Sanjay Khan, addressing him as “Dad” and thanking him for his unconditional love and guidance over the years. The actor recalled Sanjay’s words of encouragement and shared how a simple piece of advice – whispering “magical time” before each shot – is guiding him even today.
