Bagga first gained attention as a political activist, known for his direct action campaigns. He co-founded an organization called Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena, which aims to combat what its members view as ‘anti-national forces’. The group became notorious for taking aggressive actions, such as physically assaulting individuals after accusing them of making ‘anti-India’ comments.
In 2011, Bagga’s name came into national headlines when he claimed responsibility for an attack on lawyer and activist Prashant Bhushan, who had expressed support for a referendum on Kashmir.
