Relations between India and Russia have stood the test of time and have a strong foundation since independence in 1947, but another factor that binds the two countries together is the close relationship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Friendship between.
The two leaders met today in Kazan, Russia where they will participate in the 16th BRICS Summit today and tomorrow. After shaking hands and hugging, PM Modi and Putin held India-Russia talks.
Highlighting his friendship with Prime Minister Modi, President Putin said that the relations between the two countries and the two leaders are so strong that PM Modi will understand his words even without the help of a translator.
“Our relationship is so strong that you will understand me without any translation,” President Putin said, causing laughter in the room at the Governor’s Palace. He further added that “In Kazan we must take a number of important decisions aimed at further improving the activities of the Association and strengthening versatile cooperation within its framework. And we attach great importance to our cooperation in this area, I mean That our States stood at the origin of the creation of the Association.”

Our foreign ministers are in constant touch. Trade relations are in good shape. And the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission is scheduled to be held in New Delhi on November 12,” he said.
“Major projects are constantly being developed, and we welcome your decision to open the Consulate General of India in Kazan. The expansion of India’s diplomatic presence in Russia will contribute to the further development of bilateral relations,” he said.

Following his visit to Kiev, Prime Minister Modi reportedly sent National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to Moscow with a “peace plan”, which was reportedly handed over to President Putin when Mr Doval held a meeting with him.
During his meeting with President Zelensky, Prime Minister Modi reiterated his commitment to peace and sustainable development.
Mr Misri said, “He stressed that without peace, long-term progress is impossible. Although the outcome of the war remains uncertain, India continues to advocate a peaceful solution.”
