Bollywood actress Esha Deol recently spoke about the restrictions she faced at home during menstruation. Despite being surrounded by strong women, Esha admitted that periods were not openly talked about during her upbringing.
Esha, the daughter of veteran actress Hema Malini and Dharmendra, grew up in a household that was looked after by women, including her grandmother Jaya Chakravarthy and her grandmother Mausi. hotterfly“We were not allowed to go to the temple and pray. When that is done, you can wash your hair and then you can pray. That is the orthodox way and I follow it. If it is a part of the house you live in, I respect it,” the actor said.
Isha also said that she got information about sex education from the school curriculum. “I learned about it in school. We had sex education in school, and they taught us well and at the right time. And it is important. There are some parents who feel uncomfortable and shy”, she said.
In the same interview, Isha spoke about her upbringing at home. She recalled her grandmother’s strictness and the restrictions she imposed on her, such as not wearing spaghetti straps or short skirts when going out.
“My grandmother was the CCTV camera of the house. As soon as I and my friends would enter the house, my grandmother would be watching TV and would look through her glasses to see who was coming and who was going. My friends who would come to meet me would wear whatever they wanted inside, but they would wear a shirt on top and take it off in my room. Staying up late was a no-no,” he said.
Talking about work, Esha Deol was last seen in Hunter: Tootega Nahi Todega alongside Suniel Shetty, Barkha Bisht and Rahul Dev.
