Actress Esha Deol recently revealed how her father and famous star Dharmendra was a bit conservative when she was young. Deol said that Dharmendra wanted her to get married at the age of 18.

Speaking to Hauptfly, Esha Deol said, “He didn’t want me to get into films. He is a bit conservative, and rightly so. He is a Punjabi father and he wanted us to get married and settle down by 18. That’s his conditioning, he comes from a place where all the women in his house have been brought up that way.”

The actor said, “But my upbringing was very different. I saw my mother dancing and acting in films since childhood, so I was influenced by her. I knew I wanted to become something, but it took some time to convince her. It was not easy, but today the story is different.”

Esha Deol made her film debut with the 2002 film ‘Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe’ and after that she appeared in many films like Kya Dil Ne Kaha, Chura Liya Hai Tumne, Yuva, Dhoom, Kaal.

Isha was last seen in the series Hunter Tootega Nahi Tootega. She is going to do films like Main and Hero Heroine.
