Esha Deol recently opened up about a tragic incident that happened during the premiere of her film Dus in Pune in 2005. In a recent interview, the actress revealed that she saw a man harassing her and immediately removed him from the crowd, and slapped him in public.
In one episode male feministEsha Deol recalled this tragic incident and said that she cannot tolerate such behaviour. She also urged other women not to ignore such acts and raise their voice against them.
She said, “It happened during the premiere of the film Dus in Pune, which featured Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Zayed Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. The premiere was there and we were walking through the crowd. When I came in, all the actors were coming in one by one and there were many big and strong bouncers around me.”
Isha further said, “Despite this, a man from the crowd touched me inappropriately. Something happened to me and my immediate reaction was that I caught that man’s hand and took him out of the crowd and slapped him.”
During the same podcast, Esha also revealed her relationship with her father Dharmendra and said that her father was a bit conservative when she was young. She also told that her father wanted her to get married at the age of 18.
