Rajinikanth starrer Jailer 2 is currently shooting, with the makers eyeing a possible release in mid-2026. Now it seems that actress Nora Fatehi has joined the cast for a special dance number which she recently completed in Chennai.

In a new video shared online, Nora Fatehi was seen exiting the sets of the film after finishing the shooting of the song. Although the actress did not mention the name of the film, she described the project as “epic”.
Talking about her work, she said, “Today was the last day. It was amazing, we had a lot of fun. We shot something really amazing, something really epic. But I’m tired. 4 calls in the morning are enough; I’m done. I can only show you here (her face) because I can’t reveal my costume.”
The actress has reportedly completed the dance shoot for Jailer 2, which marks her first collaboration with Rajinikanth in a film. Interestingly, in Jailer (2023), actress Tamannaah Bhatia made an extended appearance and went viral with the song Kavala, composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
On the other hand, Nora Fatehi is getting ready to play the co-lead role in Raghava Lawrence’s Kanchana 4, marking her debut as a lead actress in Kollywood. The upcoming installment of the horror-comedy franchise also stars Pooja Hegde.

Jailer 2 is an upcoming action-comedy drama starring Rajinikanth in the lead role. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film will serve as the sequel to the 2023 hit Jailer. Actors like Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Vijay Sethupathi, Vidya Balan, Mithun Chakraborty and others are expected to feature. The film is expected to release on the big screens in August 2026.
Rajinikanth’s work front
Rajinikanth was last seen in the lead role in director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s action thriller Coolie. The film starred Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, Rachita Ram and many others in lead roles. Bollywood superstars Aamir Khan and Pooja Hegde also made guest appearances. The film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
After Jailer 2, the superstar will be seen tentatively titled Thalaivar173, which is expected to be directed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan of Parking fame.
Initially, the project was expected to be directed by Aranmanai filmmaker Sundar C; However, due to professional reasons, he left the film.
