Emraan Hashmi: Bollywood’s crooks will earn Rs 700 crore in theatres.

Actor Emraan Hashmi praised Aryan Khan’s adventurous Netflix series – ‘The Ba**ads of Bollywood’ for its unique style. He said that the series could have been a huge theatrical success and hoped that he would work with Shahrukh Khan soon.

Actor Emraan Hashmi, who did a memorable cameo in Aryan Khan’s directorial venture – ‘The Ba**ads of Bollywood’, believes the Netflix series was strong enough for a theatrical release. He praised Shah Rukh Khan’s son for his bold, unconventional debut and described the project as “politically incorrect” in the most positive way.

Imran, in an interview with pinkvillaSaid, “You know, it takes a while to get you into the first episode. But once you’re in, it’s like – wow. This is different from anything you’ve seen. It’s very politically incorrect. It should have come in theatres. It would have done Rs 600-700 crore at the box office.”

Emraan, who plays a small role as an intimacy coach, commented that Aryan’s approach to storytelling is reminiscent of a time when mainstream entertainment had the courage to be both bold and self-aware.

The ‘Haq’ actor also praised Shah Rukh Khan and expressed his desire to collaborate with him on a full-fledged project. He further added, “I worked with him as a producer, with Mr. SRK. There was an opportunity to work together on a film, which didn’t happen. But hopefully, in the future, if I get a chance to work with him in a film, I will definitely do it.”

‘B,‘DS of Bollywood’ also stars Lakshya Lalwani, Sahher Bamba, Bobby Deol, Mona Singh, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Rajat Bedi and others in lead roles. Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, SS Rajamouli, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor and others have also made cameos in the show. The series depicts the chaos, corruption and glamor of the entertainment industry.

Emraan was recently seen in ‘Haq’ starring Yami Gautam. The film is directed by Suparn Verma and is inspired by the historical Shah Bano case.
