Emotional Janhvi Kapoor remembered mother Sridevi in her ‘favorite holiday place’ ear
Actor Janhvi Kapoor along with her late mother Sridevi for her summer holidays. She recently attended the screening of her film ‘Homebound’ at the International Film Festival in French Riviera.

Janhvi Kapoor went through a roller coaster of emotions while attending the premiere of his new film ‘Homebound’ at the 78th Cannes International Film Festival. The actor, who received a heavy standing ovation during the ‘Homebound’ screening, also recalled his late mother and cinema legend Sridevi. Janhvi recalled her late mother’s arrival without a ‘favorite holiday place’.
In an interview with Vogue India, He said, “You know that this place was my mother’s favorite place to come for a holiday. We spent 3-4 consecutive summers here. It was like a big thing with us as a family. Every time the mother used to do something, every time she was receiving an award, or her film, we were ready for a family. We were ready for a family.”
He further said, “We are back in the ear. My father (Boney Kapoor) and Khushi are with me … It’s strange that coming back here without him and especially because she always took me in her big moments. I miss her a lot.”
After the screening of his film, Janhvi, her co-star Ishaan Khat, Vishal Jethwa, director Neeraj Gaywan and producer Karan Johar felt with the audience’s response. The team was seen hugging each other as they got a 9-minute long standing ovation. The film was shown on May 21 in the United Nations’ fixed relationship section, a special category of ear, which highlights unique and powerful stories.

The ‘Homebound’ is jointly manufactured by Johar’s Dharma Productions, as well as with other Poonwal, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra. While Marizk de Suja and Melita Toscan du planter co-producers, Martin Scorses and Praveen Khairr are executive manufacturer. The film is essentially about two childhood friends from a small village in North India, who do a police job in search of dignity, but as soon as they taste the power, they begin to experience stressful relations. Its release has not been announced yet.
