Kangana Ranaut’s biographical, historical drama Emergency released in theaters on Friday. Although the film struggled to draw people to theaters on its opening day, it managed to garner better viewership on Saturday.

After two days, the total earning of Emergency has reached Rs 6 crore. The film hit the theaters with Azaad, starring Ajay Devgan’s nephew Aman Devgan and Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani. However, Azaad is no match for Kangana’s film as it is struggling to attract the audience.

On its second day, Saturday, Azad earned Rs 1.50 crore, surpassing what it had earned on Friday. The total earning of the film is half of what Emergency earned in two days.

Emergency is an important film in Kangana’s career, because she has not had any hit film for a long time. The actor’s last few releases, Thalaivi, Dhaakad and Tejas, failed to make big at the box office.

However, the film has not impressed the audience much. Sana Farzeen of India Today gave the film a 2.5-star rating.

Part of their review reads, “The pace tests your patience as there are times when you want to know more. Unless you are a GK enthusiast, you will find it difficult to Google what is happening on the screen.” Will spend more time in. The songs are unnecessarily distracting, and some of them are also portrayed as dramatic music, which makes it unintentionally funny, on the other hand, the violence is gory and feels like Kangana Close -enjoy up Because the faces keep zooming on the screen.”

Emergency, which also stars Anupam Kher and Shreyas Talpade in lead roles, narrates the period 1975–1977, when former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed emergency in the country.
