Elon Musk is on his way to omnipresence, leaders around the world are on speed-dial and his Benjamins vilify US lawmakers. One would wonder, what doesn’t the richest man on earth have? To answer that question, his own company, City.
The past few years have seen Musk’s SpaceX expand into Texas, shortly after moving from California citing “woke” reasons. A word that Trump’s allies dislike.
He said that if California Governor Gavin Newsom signs a law that would prevent schools from informing parents that their children use different names or pronouns he would force SpaceX and X out of California. Will take.
This is the last straw.
Due to this law and many others that came before it, striking both families and companies, SpaceX will now move its headquarters from Hawthorne, California to Starbase, Texas.

“This is the last straw,” Musk said on X.
Now, Musk is planning to establish a city in coastal South Texas, and needs support from residents and a majority of voters to create a new municipality in Texas. Since July, the SpaceX launch site, known as Starbase, has already become home to many employees.
Per the NYT, earlier this month, the staff took a big step toward making Starbase a city and began collecting signatures and filing petitions to hold an election.
The ‘Stabes Community’ has approximately 500 residents, including approximately 219 primary residents and 100 children. According to the petition, the city would be slightly larger than Central Park, spanning 1.5 square miles, and nearly all residents are renters and work for SpaceX.
“If you create your own city, and this is a relatively small area now, you have control over that area,” Robert Greer, associate professor at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, told the AP.
“The addition of Starbase will streamline the processes needed to build the facilities needed to make the region a world-class place to live – for the hundreds of people who already call it home, as well as humanity’s future in space.” for prospective workers eager to help with the construction,” Kathryn Starbase general manager Lueders said in a letter to the county.
While Spaxx has been expanding rapidly in the area, some locals have pushed back. Earlier this year, a group called Save RGV sued SpaceX over environmental violations and dumping polluted water into a nearby bay.
If the proposed city receives authorization, Gunnar Milburn, a SpaceX security manager, is expected to be the inaugural mayor.
SpaceX will now officially be headquartered in Starbase City, Texas!

Provided his plans move forward, Musk will make history again.
