But XAI is not the only organization to remove “researchers” from its dictionary; SpaceX (ownership of Elon Musk) will also follow the suit. According to Musk, engineer is the right word for employees that work with XAI and SpaceX. But this is not the first time Musk has exposed the difference between these two words.

Anthropic argues that the old difference between research and engineering in machine learning no longer keeps, claiming that with large models “this line has effectively disappeared”.
