Elon Musk says he was never on Lolita Express after Epstein emails surfaced: The whole story in 5 points
Tech billionaire Elon Musk is once again at the center of controversy. In the recently released Epstein files, Musk is accused of planning to visit Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous island on two separate occasions. However, he has denied all the claims in a post on X.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk is once again in the headlines for the wrong reasons. On Friday, after the US Department of Justice (DOJ) released the latest set of ‘Epstein files’, documents revealed that Musk had intended to visit the private island of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on two separate occasions. Taken at face value, the emails indicate that Musk was having very cordial email conversations with Epstein. This has sparked a new wave of allegations that Musk is as dirty as the sordid figures outlined in the Epstein emails and files.
However, Tesla’s CEO has strongly rejected the allegations, although he acknowledged the emails. He called it “very short-handed” and claimed existing reports are misinterpreting what he wrote in the email.
On Sunday night, Musk again wrote a lengthy rebuttal on his social media platform X. And he again highlighted that he did nothing wrong, at least nothing other than what he wrote in the email. Even the plans mentioned in the email never came to fruition because he canceled them. “I knew I would be constantly vilified, even though I never attended their parties or boarded their Lolita Express plane, or set foot on their creepy island or did anything wrong,” Musk wrote in the post. So what is going on? Here is the story so far in five points.
Point 1: Elon Musk’s first planned visit to Epstein’s Island
The newly released documents, part of a repository totaling more than 3 million pages, include emails from 2012 and 2013 between Musk and Epstein in which they discussed possible trips to Epstein’s private Caribbean island, Little St. James.
In November 2012, Epstein asked Elon Musk the number of people visiting the island. “Probably just Tallulah and me,” says the tech billionaire. He was likely referring to his then-wife Talulah Riley. Additionally, the documents allege that Musk wanted to have the “wildest party” on the island. He asks, “Which day (or) night will be the wildest party on your island?”
After another line of communication on December 25, Jeffrey Epstein responded to Musk, saying, “Understood, I’ll see you on St. Barths, the proportions on my island might make Talilah uncomfortable.” It is unclear what ratio Epstein was referring to, but it may have been the gender ratio of the party. Still, Elon Musk replied, “Proportions are not a problem for Tallulah,” Musk said.
Point 2: Elon Musk’s second unsuccessful visit to Epstein Island
In December 2013, Musk once again tried to plan a visit to the island. He reportedly asked Epstein when he could visit next month. Musk said, “Will be in the BVI/St. Barts area over the holidays. Is there a good time to visit?”
Jeffrey Epstein insisted he is always ready to welcome the tech billionaire. He replied, “Any day from the 1st to the 8th. Play it by ear if you want. There will always be room for you.”
However, it seems that this time the plan was canceled due to a scheduling conflict on Epstein’s part. He responded to Musk, “Bad news—unfortunately, my schedule will keep me in New York. I was really looking forward to spending some time with just fun as the agenda. So I’m very disappointed. Hopefully we can schedule another time in the near future.”
Point 3: Elon Musk accuses media, campaigners of attacking him
On X, Elon Musk strongly rejected claims of his alleged communications with Jeffrey Epstein. The tech billionaire claimed he was one of the loudest voices calling for the release of the Epstein files, and hinted that it was the legacy media and left-wing campaigners who were attacking him.
Musk wrote, “No one has fought harder than me to get the full release of the Epstein files and the prosecution of child abusers, knowing full well that the legacy media, far-left propagandists and those who are actually guilty will: 1. Admit nothing 2. Deny everything 3. Make counter-allegations against me.”
Point 4: Elon Musk says he never partied with Jeffrey Epstein
The Tesla CEO insisted that he knew he would be attacked after the files were released. Elon Musk claimed that he never traveled on the Lolita Express or visited Epstein’s Island. He said, “I knew I would be constantly vilified, despite the fact that I had never attended their parties or boarded their ‘Lolita Express’ plane or set foot on their creepy island or done anything wrong.”
Lolita Express refers to the private plane that Jeffrey Epstein used to bring his guests to the island.
Musk has consistently denied knowing Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell and has said that her famous photo was the result of her “photobomb” at a Vanity Fair party. She also addressed past allegations, writing, “This is false,” in response to a post claiming she had traveled to Epstein’s Island.

Point 5: Elon Musk says the extreme pain of being accused is worth it
Elon Musk explains that although he is facing great pain over these allegations, he believes that it is worth enduring if it can help protect vulnerable children who were allegedly abused on the island. The world’s richest man said it is the duty of the powerful to protect those who cannot protect themselves.
He explained, “I will gladly accept any suffering in the future to do more to protect children and give them a chance to grow up and live happy lives.”

Furthermore, Elon Musk reportedly did not shy away from attacking other people who visited the island. In a separate post, he criticized Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. Musk wrote, “Who does Bill Gates think he is to comment about the welfare of children, given that he frequently meets with Jeffrey Epstein?”
