Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has announced the launch of GPT-5 in the company’s major platforms, calling it the “Most Sakshak model yet” of Openai. AI system trained on Microsoft’s Azure Cloud, now Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, GITHUB COPILOT and Azure Azure will power. Nadella highlighted how GPT -5 brings strong arguments, better coding capabilities and more advanced chat features for consumers, developers and enterprises. Considering the journey since GPT-4, it was introduced in Bing for the first time two and a half years ago, saying “it was incredible to see how far we have come” and the pace of AI progress is only growing rapidly.
The announcement shared by Satya Nadella through a post on X (East) expanded how GPT -5 would integrate in the company’s ecosystem. For everyday users, Microsoft Copilot will now have a “smart mode” operated by GPT-5, which will provide better answers, more creative output and strong relevant understanding. Enterprise customer models using Microsoft 365 Copilot may expect to handle complex questions, stay consistent in long interactions and even analyze emails and documents more effectively. Developers on Github Copilot and Visual Studio Code will also benefit, GPT-5 will have to handle more complex coding and “agentic” tasks from beginning to end. In the Azure AI Foundry, a new model router will ensure that each querial performance matches the AI model, the most suitable for performance, complexity and cost efficiency.
However, this announcement X. Tesla and SpaceX’s CEO Elone spread some back and forth on Musk and replied to Nadella’s tweet with a blunt comment: “OpenaiI is going to eat Microsoft alive.” Musk’s comment shows that Microsoft’s close partnership with Openai may eventually work against the tech veteran, although it is noted that Microsoft has an important right to use and sell Openai models by 2030, as some users stated.
Nadella’s reaction to Kasturi was measured but was full of confidence. He said, “People have been trying for 50 years, and have fun!
