Dyson has finally unveiled its first audio-only headphones – the Dyson Ontrack Headphones – in India. Set to be launched globally in July 2024, Dyson’s new premium headphones promise to deliver up to 55 hours of playback, with best-in-class noise cancellation and over 2,000 customisable colour combinations for the outer caps and ear cushions. Dyson says each ear cushion of its Ontrack headphones – which are customisable – is designed to offer users high-quality headphones and more personalisation options.

Dyson Ontrack headphone specifications
Dyson says its new Ontrack headphones are designed with advanced noise cancellation technology and focus on delivering high-quality sound and comfort. The headphones also feature an active noise cancellation (ANC) algorithm that uses eight microphones to sample external sound 384,000 times per second, reducing unwanted noise by up to 40dB. Additionally, their internal geometry and materials enhance the acoustic seal, improving sound isolation for a more focused listening experience.
In terms of audio performance, the Dyson Ontrack features 40mm neodymium drivers that are capable of reproducing frequencies from 6Hz to 21,000Hz. According to Dyson, the speaker housing is tilted 13 degrees towards the ear, which helps deliver a more direct audio experience.
As for battery life, the Dyson Ontrack headphones promise up to 55 hours of use, even with ANC activated. Comfort has been prioritized with soft microfibre ear cushions and balanced weight distribution through multi-pivot gimbal arms and strategic positioning of the battery in the headband.
A key feature of the Dyson Ontrack is their customisable design, which offers over 2,000 combinations of outer caps and ear cushions. In addition, the MyDyson app supports real-time sound tracking and EQ adjustment, along with features such as Head Detect, which automatically pauses audio when the headphones are removed. These features are said to allow the Dyson Ontrack headphones to adapt to different listening environments and user preferences, while maintaining a simple, functional design.
