As Season 1 of Dune: Prophecy comes to an end, it’s safe to say that it delivered many unexpected twists in its first season, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.
In the final episode, we saw Valya Harkonnen traveling to Arrakis with Yanez and Kieran. It is important to note that Desmond Hart’s initial encounter with the Sandworm sparked Valya’s interest in Arrakis.
According to ScreenRant, in hopes of spreading a new version of the Ominous Plague, an unknown player took Heart’s companion and implanted a thinking machine in him sometime before Season 1. This version of the plague is activated by fear, resulting in the deaths of Sister Kasha and Pruvet Richies. It slowly spreads among the Sisterhood, causing them to have nightmares.
As reported by ScreenRant, Valya’s goal is to uncover who carried out Heart’s activities, and the primary place to start her search is none other than Arrakis.
Valya brings Princess Ynez to Arrakis for safekeeping, as she is the ideal candidate for the Sisterhood to ascend the Imperial throne, expanding their influence across the known universe.
However, Kieran Atreides makes it clear that he does not trust Valya or any Harkonnen. Despite this, his primary goal at that time is to protect Yanez. He loves her very much and wants to support her, even though he opposes the immense power of the Empire.
Season 1 of the show starred Emily Watson, Tabu, Travis Fimmel, Josh Houston, Jessica Barden, Mark Strong, Olivia Williams, Jodhi May, Chloe Lee, Jiha, Charitra Chandran and many others.
