On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, actresses Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh shared the first picture of their daughter. He also revealed the name of his daughter – Dua Padukone Singh.

Deepika has shared the picture on Instagram. She also explained why she named her daughter Dua. The actor wrote, “Dua Padukone Singh | ‘Dua’: Meaning a prayer. Because she is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are full of love and gratitude. Deepika and Ranveer.” They dressed the little child in red ethnic wear.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone welcomed their first child, daughter, into their family on September 82024. They shared the good news with a joint post on social media that read, “Welcome baby girl. 8-9-2024. Deepika and Ranveer.”

Ranveer Singh once expressed his desire to become a father and have a daughter like his wife in his quiz show, The Big Picture.

While talking to the contestant, Ranveer said,As you all know, I am married and will have children in 2-3 years. Bhaisaab, your sister-in-law (Deepika Padukone) was such a cute baby. I see her baby pictures every day and say, just give me one like this, my life will be set. I am shortlisting the names (As you know I am married and may have children in the next 2-3 years. Your sister-in-law was a very sweet child. I see her child’s pictures every day and tell her, ‘Give me a child like this too.) And my life will be set.’ I am already shortlisting the names.

Deepika Padukone promoted Kalki 2898 AD during her pregnancy. However, she has been away from the public eye since embracing motherhood. During this time, Ranveer Singh has attended many events including the trailer launch of Singham AgainWhich also includes Deepika Padukone.

Talking to the media, Ranveer said that Deepika was busy taking care of the child, hence she was not present at the event. The actor said, “It is my duty to take care of the child at night, that is why I am here.”

He also said, “There are so many stars in our picture and let me tell you that my baby has made his debut, baby Simba. (There are a lot of stars in our film, and let me tell you this – my child started out as Baby Simba).” And added, “Deepika was pregnant during the shooting of the film.”

He concluded, “Lady Singham, Simba and Baby Simba wish you a very Happy Diwali.”
