Delhi has great restaurants, cafes and bars on every corner. With so many options at your disposal and new places opening up every week, there is no dearth of places to spend a nice evening with your partner, friends, family or colleagues. However, some places have made their special place in the heart of Delhi, and will leave you spellbound with their amazing dining experience. One such place I visited recently was Dramaz in Mehrauli. I went in with an open mind and no pre-judgements, and was very impressed and pleased to see the stunning Qutub Minar located very close to the restaurant, as well as enjoy a variety of interesting cocktails and delicious dishes.
After clicking a lot of pictures of the Qutub Minar shining in the dark evening sky of Delhi, we ordered some cocktails to start the evening. Dramz has a wide variety of drinks to choose from. We tried a variety of drinks. Tiki My WayAn intensely flavored cocktail with dark and white rum and charred pineapple. Next was Melonie – with a gin base and tiny watermelon scoops that release more flavor as you drink. We also tried this Orange and Passionfruit MargaritaWhich was refreshing and had a sweet and sour taste. All the drinks looked great too.
Speaking of food, we tried Chicken Teriyaki Sushi Roll Which was well made, looked attractive and was delicious. Another exciting dish on the menu Niwatori Dim SumServed with three different kinds of dips – peanut and sesame dressing, black bean sauce and scallion and togarashi dip. If you love mutton, you must order this BBQ Mutton SeekhThe pieces of skewer were large and the meat was juicy and full of flavour.
After the meal we had another round of some strong and refreshing drinks. Popcorn sour Made with bourbon whiskey and caramel, this drink was a little more tart and is ideal for whiskey lovers. It is a light and crisp drink Tulsi Shikha Made with fresh basil leaves and gin. You can never get enough of these! This place has another flavorful whiskey cocktail named after it Jolly Dramz JulepIf you like coffee based cocktails, try Dramz Espresso Martini It will win your heart.
We tried some Italian dishes from the menu. Burrata Cheese Pizza The taste was delicious and fresh. However, the burrata cheese was a bit dry and lumpy. A rich and comforting Italian dish on the menu Alfredo Pasta, served in a rich, creamy cheese sauce.
Looking for dessert? Chocolate Nutty Sundae This is a heavy and delicious option, full of chocolate. It has a mix of ice cream, nuts, crumble and hazelnut ganache. We tried it too Tiramisu Which was served in a glass jar but was not very impressive in taste.
Apart from the great food, drinks and view, the staff at Dramz was attentive, friendly, courteous and proactive. Whether you want to go out for a date night, a family dinner or spend a Friday evening with co-workers, Dramz will not disappoint you.
