"Dragon, ballet dance between elephants": China reacts to PM’s comments

Mutual respect between New Delhi and Beijing is openly on performance. The latest Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “positive” comment on relations between the two countries, which China has “appreciated”.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning told reporters, “I should emphasize that in more than 2000 years of history, the two countries have maintained friendly exchange” and the two countries learned from each other from each other. ,

The statement followed PM Modi’s interview with American podcaster Lix Fridman, where he said that the general situation has returned to India-China boundary after a recent conversation with President Xi Jinping to reduce the tensions ignited by the 2020 clashes between the two armies in Eastern Ladakh. The Prime Minister said that his government focuses on ensuring that differences did not increase in controversies.

PM Modi told Lix Fridman, “Our attention is to ensure that these differences do not change in controversies. That is what we work actively.

A Chinese spokesperson said the successful meeting between Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Russia’s Kazan provided strategic guidance for the improvement and development of bilateral relations in October.

In November last year, Indian and Chinese troops began patrolling with a line of real control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh after a gap of over four years. Patrolling was stopped in both these areas of East Ladakh for about four and a half years after both sides collided in Pangong Lake and Galvan regions in May-June 2020.

PM Modi said, “It is true that border disputes are going on between us. And in 2020, the events with the border have created significant tension among our countries. However, after my recent meeting with President Xi, we have seen a comeback to normal position on the border,” PM Modi said.

Both sides stated that the Chinese spokesperson has sincerely followed through significant general understanding, strengthened exchanges and achieved positive results.

As the two biggest developing countries, China and India have shared the task of intensifying their development and revival and understanding and supporting each other’s successes.

It serves the basic interests of more than 2.8 billion people, fulfills the general aspiration of regional countries, and follows the historical trend of the global South growing strong and favorable for world peace, he further said.

Both countries should be partners who contribute to each other’s success and a “cooperative pass day dex”, a ballet dance between the dragon and the elephant, is “the only option for both sides”, he said, saying, repeating recent comments on the development of bilateral relations by Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

He said that China is willing to work with India to implement important general understanding between the two leaders, as an opportunity, takes 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations and pursues bilateral relations on the track of stable and sound development.

PM Modi said, “Our cooperation is not only beneficial (mutually), but also for global peace and prosperity.”
