The sequel to maestro Ram Pothineni and director Puri Jagannadh’s blockbuster ‘iSmart Shankar’ has finally got a release date. The makers today gave an update on the film’s release date. ‘Double iSmart’ will now release on Independence Day i.e. August 15. This comes after Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’ was postponed just a few days ago.

Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’ is one of the biggest releases of the year and due to the film being postponed, many producers rushed to release it on Independence Day. Not only is Thursday a holiday, but Monday (Raksha Bandhan) is also a holiday. This will give ‘Double iSmart’ a 4-day weekend.

Along with this announcement, the release date poster was also released which shows Ram Pothineni in a power-packed avatar. He is seen holding 3 horizontal lines of vibhuti. We can also see Shiva lingam and a flambeau in the background.

The makers have already released the teaser of the film. The film ‘Double iSmart’ promises to be twice as crazy as the prequel in terms of action and entertainment.

Sanjay Dutt will play the villain. Kavya Thapar is the lead actress opposite Ram. Sam K Naidu and Gianni Gianelli are the cinematographers of this film which has music by Mani Sharma. The film is produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur on Puri Connects banner. ‘Double iSmart’ will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages.
