Donald Trump wants the Chief Design Officer for the new National Design Studio, here is his top pick
Donald Trump has signed an order to create a National Design Studio, which is successful as the Chief Design Officer of AirBNB, co-founder of AirBNB who exploit Gabia, to modernize the controversial Dogge of Elon Musk.

US President Donald Trump has chosen Gabia, co-founder of AirBNB, as his top pick, leading a new federal initiative to the Americans to improve the way they interact with online government services. According to two officials familiar with the scheme, Gebbia will be appointed as the Chief Design Officer of the newly constructed National Design Studio, which is a unit designed to make digital services more efficient and accessible in federal agencies.
Trump on Thursday signed an executive order for the establishment of the studio. The order states that the new body will focus on improving the “purpose and aesthetics” of government websites and services, while using common framework helps agencies to cut duplicate design costs.
However, the studio is only temporary. Under the order, it will be closed after three years. The program will be maintained by a administrator, who will report directly to the Chief of Staff Susie Wils of the White House. The White House has not yet announced who will take that role.
Gebbia, known for the co-founder of AirBNB, is already working with the federal government on design issues. He recently helped rebuild the federal retirement process at the Human Resource Agency Personnel Management Office for Government Employees. One of the officials said that his new role would include addressing long -standing problems in the Internal Revenue Services (IRS), especially around the user experience.
The move comes after the collapse of the government’s efficiency department (DOGE), a controversial body led by billionaire Elon Musk. Dogy, launched with great pomp, demanded to shrink federal parole, close agencies and modernize the old government systems.
But since the sharp partition of Kasturi with Trump in May, the activities of the department have almost happened. One of the officials stated that the National Design Studio looks like a “stripped-down heir” for Dogi, although the executive order did not clearly add both.
Trump’s order emphasizes that unlike the mandate of cutting the cost of Dogi, the focus of the new studio will be on the quality of the design, ease of use and standardization. The goal is to create a more spontaneous experience for citizens interacting with federal services, including tax filing to profit applications.
