US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that if the Liberal party wins the upcoming Canadian election, he would have no objection, saying: “I will treat liberals compared to a conservative.”
Trump has taken a tough stance towards Canada, implementing the tariff on Canada’s imports and repeatedly threatened to make it a 51st American state.
During an interview on Fox News “The Ingraham Angle”, host Laura Ingraham said that Trump’s treatment to Canada may motivate the ruling liberals to win the next election and lead a government that is hostile to America
“I don’t care,” Trump replied. “I think it is really, with a liberal, easy to deal and perhaps they are going to win, but I don’t really care. It doesn’t matter to me at all.”
Trump then targeted the main rival of Liberals, Conservative Party leader Pierre Pilevere.
“The conservative who is going on is foolish, I have no friends. I don’t know him, but he said negative things,” he said. “When he says negative things, I can’t care less.”
The liberal, who was in power since Justin Trudeau, was elected Prime Minister in 2015, only a few weeks ago in an election, conservatives were seen to defeat some defeat which should be held by 20 October and could be the first.
But the party is making a big comeback after replacing Trudeau with former Central Banker Mark Carney. Several recent opinion surveys have shown liberals to shut down the difference or even beyond conservatives.
Liberals have portrayed Poelavas as a right -wing populist in the same vein as Trump. A liberal advertisement accused Poilavere – a career politician, who supported the anti -government movement during the Kovid -19 epidemic – similar to Trump.
Polyre has adopted the slogan “Canada first” in front of American threats, and has sought to tie Carney from the former Trudeau government, which has lost popularity as a result of the cost of living in recent years and an intensive housing crisis.
Canada’s Conservative Party and Canada’s Liberal Party did not immediately respond to the remarks requests.
