"Dogi spoiled a lot of items": American officer on USAID firing notice

According to five sources familiar with the issue, the US agency for international development employees was wrongly seen by billionaire Elon Musk’s cost-coting team to the US agency.

The government’s efficiency department “did this so quickly that they spoiled a lot of goods,” said an American official who requested oblivion, as was done by those who spoke to Reuters.

The state department, which is assuming some of the USAID functions as a plan to cut the US foreign aid of the Trump administration, did not immediately respond to the remarks requests.

The USAID’s Human Resource Employees, most of whom, are brought back to the office to send an exact notice to the administrative leave and the end of the face, said the US officer and the person familiar with the case.

“My letter was completely wrong,” a USAID worker told the Reuters on the condition of anonymity. “Only one thing was right my name.”

This is not the first time that the wrong termination notice has increased the lives of USAID workers since US President Donald Trump and Musk, which began in February to destroy the main drain of America’s foreign aid.

The first round was set on 21 April as the final employment day for most personnel and tapped to help the agency shutter on 30 May. Those dates were resetted on 1 July or 2 September on 2 September, which were in notice sent to some 3,500 USAID workers last Friday, two sources and workers said.

Other errors consisted of incorrect start dates, service length and salary, according to the case familiar, American officials, two former senior USAID officers, a Congress colleagues and four workers received notices.

Until not fixed, the pension may be reduced or canceled or incorrectly paid as a result of those mistakes, the sources said.

Many sources pointed to the retirement website of the US Office of Personnel Management, stating that the annual pension annuity of federal workers is based on their service length and three highest average annual salary.

Reuters could not learn how many USAID personnel were issued faulty notices on last Friday.

Some employees received three wrong notices

Many workers told the Reuters that he and other colleagues received a third end letter on Monday night, which still had incorrect information on publicity, tenure and other data.

An worker said that the total federal service listed in his notice on Friday was low for three years and in the notice received on Monday for six years.

“I really have federal service dating till June 2008,” said the worker. “There is no argument for the RIF (reduction in force) process.”

The US official said, “We have met people who have served for 25 years and are showing their notices that they only serve for three.” “This affects their breakdown. It affects their future ability to retire.”

Trump handed over a major contributor to Musk in his 2024 election campaign, with companies that have a federal contract of billions of dollars, and have been able to overcome waste and fraud in the US government.

According to its website, the only official window in its operation, Dogi estimates that it has saved $ 140 billion to US taxpayers by 2 April, with a range of action including large -scale workforks cuts, asset sales and cancellation of contracts $ 140 billion through a series of action.

Its savings are total unattainable and its calculations include errors and improvements. Musk has said that when he finds them, Dogge will fix the mistakes.

Since February, most USAID employees have been placed on administrative leave, having hundreds of contractors and over 5,000 programs were abolished, which disrupts global humanitarian aid operations, on which millions of people depend.

Some termination notice sent to USAID personnel on Friday was not responsible for the requests to forgive on the end of July 1, including foreign employees, whose children would still be in school, according to three sources.

Sources said that others applied for waves as they need more time to pack their homes and move to the US.

“Some people have wrong dates. Others have wrong information,” said that the person with knowledge of the case said that people are given the date of incorrect termination “until their notice is re -issued with the correct date.

The person said the notice filled with error was sent under the supervision of USAID acting administrator Jeremy Levin, a Dogi operative and Kenneth Jackson, who are overseeing the disintegration of the agency.

He reports to State Secretary Marco Rubio, who tapped by Trump as acting USAID Administrator.
