Known for giving memorable performances in Gehtiyan and Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan, Siddhant Chaturvedi became a household name after his performance in Gully Boy starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. But in an interview with Mashable India, the actor recalled the difficult time when his first film was not made before Zoya Akhtar’s film. He told the host that he was about 21 years old at that time. After auditioning for this, he was selected for that role.
So, Sid started a workshop for his character which lasted for six months. He even started doing his hair and wearing clothes according to his character in the film. But later the film was closed. “Whenever I looked in the mirror, all I saw was the same character. So, I shaved my hair. It was a big hit for me because when I was getting launched I thought that my life would be decided after this film.”
Without revealing much about the project, the Phone Bhoot actor said that when he got the film at a young age, he thought ‘oh okay, it was easy’ as he had given only 4-5 auditions for it, but after I got a shock. “I was really depressed and after that for the next three months, until my hair grew, after that I was in zen mode,” Chaturvedi revealed. The ending of the film affected him more because by that time, Sid had given up on becoming a chartered accountant and all his friends were busy.
But now, he has successfully overcome that bad phase and recently led Ravi Udyavar’s action-thriller Yudhra. He will next be seen in Dhadak 2 opposite Tripti Dimri.
