Last year, in an interview, Anushka surprised everyone by talking about this rare disease of hers. She told that when something funny happens and she starts laughing, she cannot stop herself. Sometimes she keeps laughing and smiling for 15 to 20 minutes continuously!
She also mentioned a funny incident during filming when she had to stop due to her uncontrollable laughter. Further, the Arundhati star added that the cast and crew would use her laughing time to take a break and have their snacks and tea and would thank her for it later.
According to a report by Indiaglitz, the actress said, “While watching or shooting comedy scenes, I literally roll on the floor laughing and have had to stop the shooting many times.”
However, this is not the first time that an actress has come out to publicly discuss her health issues. Meanwhile, on the work front, Anushka Shetty is all set to make her Malayalam debut with the horror film Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer. The news was confirmed by the film’s director Rojin Thomas in March 2024.
He shared two photos from the sets of Kathanar with Anushka Shetty and her team on his Instagram handle. Reportedly, the story of Kathanar is based on the life of Kadammattu Kathanar, a famous 9th-century priest who had magical powers. Jayasurya is playing the lead role in the film.
Initially, the film was to be produced by Vijay Babu of Friday Film House, with whom Rojin Thomas has previously worked on Phillips and the Monkey Pen and Home. Later, it became clear that Gokulam Gopalan of Sri Gokulam Movie has taken over the project.
As per the reports, the makers are planning to release this horror-thriller film in multiple dubbed languages including Malayalam, English, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Bengali, Kannada and other languages respectively.
