Actor Abhay Verma, who rose to fame with the hit film Munjya, has his own unique memory of working with the megastar during an ad shoot. He recalled an unforgettable gesture from Big B – he gave him an almond from his pocket. He shared that he has preserved 1 almond which the megastar gave him.
During a roundtable interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Abhay Verma opened up about his unforgettable first meeting with Amitabh Bachchan. He shared that the atmosphere on the set was full of anticipation even before the arrival of the great actor.
As soon as Big B walked in, Abhay casually held his hands behind his back, feeling like a schoolboy in front of the headmaster. Not knowing how to behave, he hesitated before finally deciding to touch her feet, receiving a warm blessing in return – a memory filled with awe and admiration.
The Munjya actor said that as they were talking, the legendary actor casually took out some dry fruits from his pocket and gave them to Abhay. For a moment, he felt as if he was standing before some divine figure, and receiving blessings in the form of a simple gesture.
He took some dry fruits, but when he saw Big B chewing silently, a thought came to his mind – should he eat them or save them as souvenirs? Eventually, he ate them, but one almond was carefully hidden.
Sadly, that precious almond is no more, but the memories of that moment are something that Abhay Verma will always cherish. He said, “I ate them, but I saved one almond. Sadly, it went to waste later.”
