Do Patti: Kriti Sanon auditioned with 10 actors before choosing Shaheer Sheikh
Writer Kanika Dhillon recently revealed that Kriti Sanon auditioned with ten actors before choosing Shaheer Sheikh for her upcoming film Do Patti. The trailer of the film was released on 14 October.
Writer Kanika Dhillon shares the behind-the-scenes story about the casting process of her upcoming film Do Patti. At the film’s trailer launch, she revealed how, when auditioned for the role of the male protagonist, Kriti Sanon personally auditioned with the final 10 candidates to find the perfect fit. Actor Shaheer Sheikh eventually bagged the role.
Kanika recalled, “Kriti was like, ‘For the last ten rounds, I wanted to audition with ten people.’ And those last 10 people went, Kriti herself went and auditioned with each of those 10 candidates, did that scene again and again, half of them got nervous because Kriti herself was auditioning them!”
Responding to Kanika’s comments, Kriti said, “Honestly, I think it was very important to find the present Dhruv. You know, because again, there are a lot of layers to the character. And the chemistry has to be there in a certain way.” Gotta work that way. So I’m glad we auditioned because I just felt the chemistry was working with him, as well as the group he had. “Looks like I’m pulling it off pretty well.”

Starring Kajol, Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh in pivotal roles, ‘Do Patti’ is a suspense thriller set in the backdrop of a hill station. The interesting thing in the story is that Kriti is playing double role as twin sisters.

Do Patti is directed by Shashank Chaturvedi and written by Kanika Dhillon. It also stars Tanvi Azmi and Brijendra Kala in pivotal roles, is Kriti’s first production and is scheduled to stream online from October 25.
