T-Series and music composer duo Sachet-Parampara have been accused of stealing Rajarshi Mitter’s track for the song Maiyya in Netflix’s Do Patti.

T-Series has found itself embroiled in yet another plagiarism controversy after musician Nilanjana Ghosh Dastidar accused the company of teaming up with composer duo Sachet-Parampara for copying her husband Rajarshi Mitter’s track for Netflix’s Do Patti Ke Song Maiyya. Is accused of. The film starring Kriti Sanon and Kajol was released on Netflix on October 25.

Dastidar expressed his disappointment on social media, demanding accountability from T-Series and Sachet-Parampara and sharing a link to Mitter’s original creation.

In a post on Facebook, Neelanjana said, “I am asking all my fellow composers and artistes to shame this music director and the entire Joker T-Series music company! How dare you guys do this?! If you can’t make music don’t steal it, you worthless buggers! You people should be ashamed. Shame shame shame shame! Sachet Tandon I am talking directly to you, shameless dirty thief! How dare you not even ask for rights from my husband?! Thief! Go to hell! (sic)”

There was an outpouring of support for Neelanjana, with many condemning T-Series and Sachet-Parampara. One user commented, “Sachet Tandon, shame on you man (sic)”, while others echoed the sentiment, pointing out the striking similarity between the two tracks. One user commented, “I just compared both songs, and they are the same note for note.”
